We recently saw Journey to the Center of the Earth, Bolt, and Bedtime Stories which I recommend as lots of fun. Journey might be a little intense for little kids but was very clean. You do have to willingly ignore your own disbelief.
Bedtime Stories was different. Lots of fun for everyone. I will be the first to say that Adam Sandler has never starred in a movie I've enjoyed. But I really enjoyed this one. And, based on the trailers they've seen, the kids gave it a chance too. Even Rachel was pretty quiet the whole time. It's like a mix of a romance, a comedy, yet told in a way that kids can enjoy.
And Bolt was just awesome.

We thought Journey was only OK, but our family loves Bolt and Bedtime Stories. I have gotta get the cell phone ring that Adam Sandler has in Bedtime Stories. And as far as Bolt goes, "Is there anything else I need to know?" "Just that every minute spent with you is the new greatest minute of my life!" Rhino is awesome. I have seen this movie over 20 times with the family and we still laugh every time.
Rhino was definitely the funniest element of the whole movie. We loved all his lines- 'Let it begin!' as well as the special feature on the dvd where he gets powers like Bolt.
Interestingly, our kids now immediately look for special features of every DVD they enjoy. They were disappointed that Bedtime Stories had none.
We loved Bolt and Bedtime Stories. I loved the "origin" story of the voice of the hamster. Amazing and sweet!

Sorry-
somehow James' fingerprints remain sentient in our computer. Now, how we can exploit this opportunity???
